Remix America

As Producer of remixamerica.org I try to get kids, students, and young people alike involved in history through modern media techniques and tools. Remix America is about mixing up the past with the present to find the relevance of American history and political news. Remix America is an all free site dedicated to an entertaining educational experience. On the site there are simple to use editing tools that allow users to create their own videos with footage already in our library. Here’s a great mashup of history and cutting-edge culture: At a recent Voices of a People’s History event, hip-hop artist Lupe Fiasco gave life to two very different but powerful pieces of the American story.
