Personal Interests and Passions

As they say on the Red Green show, "I'm a man, but I can change, if I have to - I guess." I try to be a good person and to be good to others. I try to notice and to focus on what is beautiful in the people and things around me, and not to let life's many frustrations and disappointments get the upper hand. I value and seek inspiration and constructive humor. I've been married since 1992 and have been a father since 1997. Family is a big part of my life. I love animals and have had pets nearly all of my life. (Presently 2 cats) If I could have a career as an animal masseur, that would be fabulous. I love music and language and the amazing variety of ways there are to communicate. I love interesting images. I love nature and being outdoors - as long as it's not too hot or too humid. But I really like living in a house. I love food and sensual pleasures in general. Seeing and hearing and feeling are endlessly amazing, if one pays attention. I am fascinated and inspired by technology and the amazing things people have learned to do. I am interested in philosophy but mostly dismayed by the ways it has been misused and the wreckage that some ideas have caused in the world and throughout history. I enjoy simple pleasures the most. I would like to find and support ways to help all people to meet their basic needs and to find peace, joy and fulfillment.
