More About Me
In seventeen years of international experience, Adam has traveled, taught, worked and studied in over eighty countries. After graduating from the University of Michigan in 1996, he began traveling the world. In the years since, he obtained his Masters in International Affairs from George Washington University, received a Fulbright Scholarship in Spain, wrote travel guidebooks, served as intern with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and launched several humanitarian projects. He founded the Cause & Affect Foundation in 2009 and has been assisting well-run local projects on four continents through his "micro-philanthropy" model. In recent years, he has delivered motivational speeches to schools, conferences and universities about his efforts to combine social activism and education. He has pursued education in order to instill global citizenship in his students. He is currently teaching English in a public high school in Kagoshima, Japan and will be teaching middle school social studies at Schutz American School in August, 2014.
