What to use in the classroom and how to set it up?

Hey y'all,This year it's my goal to start blogging with my 5th and 6th grade students but my knowledge of blogging is so limited so I decided to join this to make me know what I'm talking abou! Anyway, I joined blogger and I'm wondering if it's possible to have students respond to my prompts on there? Or do they have to get their own account? Is there a better (free) site to use? Any tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Introducing your blog to a wider audience

Hi all. I'm working on a blog called "Tales from out of School" a look at the real circumstances in schools and how they impede learning. It's sort of political or activist in intention. I hope that as people talk about the highs and lows of teaching for 10 yrs or more, there can be some changes that improve teaching and learning. So besides this site, which seems great but maybe different, are there other places to talk about education issues? Thanks all.
